Each number on the clock = 5 minutes. Count round by 5s!
3 o'clock = 12 → 1 → 2 → 3 = 3 × 5 = 15 minutes past 12... wait, no:
At 3 o'clock, the minute hand is at 12 = 0 minutes past. The hour hand is at 3.
am = midnight to noon (morning)
pm = noon to midnight (afternoon/evening)
9:00 am = morning school. 3:30 pm = afternoon school ends.

Knuckle trick: knuckles are 31-day months!
Duration = finishing time − starting time.
Example: Start 2:15 pm, End 3:30 pm → Duration = 1 hour 15 minutes = 75 minutes
